Smoking Ban in Spain

Spaniards have been among the world's most enthusiastic smokers since tobacco was brought back to Spain by Christopher Columbus from the Americas. It is said that the cause of Spaniards' death is smoking. About 50000 Spaniards a year die as a result of the habit, and 1500 non-smokers are also thought to die of passive smoking.
At the start of this year, Spain introduced a smoking ban. It completely bans smoking in offices and so on. Restaurants, bars, and cafeterias whose floor space is less than 100 square meters have to ban smoking . However, according to a study, only 10% of small bars and 15% of small restaurants have banned smoking. In addition, smoking was still permitted in many hospital cafeterias. It became clear that the new law didn't mean a big change for smokers.

First of all, I was surprised to know that Spaniards are great tobacco consumers. At the same time, the awareness of Spanish smokers to smoking seems to be not enough. I think it means there are still many people who are irritated with secondhand smoke. As this article said, smoking affects not only smokers' health but also nonsmokers' health, so it is ridiculous that people who don't smoke die of smoking-related diseases.

I was so shocked to know this fact.
I have wanted go visit Spain someday, but now, I don't feel so anymore.
How could they keep smoking knowing the risks and instances?
I feel sorry for people dying because of second hand smoke.
I think every country should regulate smoking more severely.

Until I looked your contribution, I didn't know that many Spaniards like to smoke so much. I was shocked, too because many people lose their life even if they are non-smokers. Nevertheless, it is very foolish that smoking ban doesn't work practically. I think that Spanish government should respond to this problem more seriously. What is more, smokers, not only Spaniards, must be deeply impressed with the influence of passive smoking.

It is very good that smoking has been banned in Spain. But what i am thinking is that now it will be very difficult for the people as its addiction is very bad and can not be quit very easily. Vaporizer Device can be the best way to quit it. People must try it.

If people dont have any substitute then it will be very hard for them to remain away from smoking. They must try Digital Vaporizers. This is the best substitute for it.
